The Hydrotherapy Centre
The Hydrotherapy Centre has been open since July 2010 and offers not only water treadmill and swimming facilities for rehabilitation cases but also fitness and fun swims for the healthier dog.
The team of Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapists at ChesterGates along with the Rehab Veterinary Nurse are geared towards today’s pet owners. With over 20 years experience of physiotherapy and vet nursing, Suzanne Cottriall BA BSc MSc MCSP Cat A member of ACPAT, and Natalie Culshaw RVN can make best use of the largest dedicated hydrotherapy and physiotherapy unit for small animals in the North West.
Wellness and Conditioning - Fun Swims
Before embarking on any hydrotherapy or physiotherapy, you must ask that your usual veterinary surgeon examine your pet and give permission for your pet to attend the Hydrotherapy Centre at ChesterGates. It is a good idea to ensure that your pet's annual booster vaccinations are up to date as well.On your first visit you and your pet will meet with the Rehab team for an initial evaluation of your pet's fitness. A hydrotherapy programme will be established which may consist of both water treadmill and pool work.
